About the Captain
A 3rd generation Florida fishing native, Capt. Peter Frederiksen has been fishing the Dunedin, Clearwater area, and Gulf waters for 30 plus years. Pete’s family has commercially fished Indian Rocks Beach since the 1930s. The Frederiksen family previously owned Indian Rocks Seafood and The Red Roe Restaurant in Ozona, Fl. As a young boy, Pete could be found fishing in Clearwater & Dunedin to help supply fish for his family market in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. Growing up in Pinellas County, on the shores of Indian Rocks Beach, Pete shares a deep understanding of the Dunedin waterways and inshore sport-fishing, as well as helping others land the fish of a lifetime.
Capt. Pete’s shallow-water fishing experience raeaches far beyond the Tampa Bay area, including targeting redfish and snook in the backcountry of Homosassa, FL. and snorkeling for Scallops off Crystal River FL, Captain Pete knows all the in and outs of the “Nature Coast”. From Homosassa to fishing competative tarpon tournaments in Boca Grande Fl. (The Tarpon Capital of the World.) He also offers tarpon charters for clients to hook a giant, prehistoric beast in the pass. His fishing knowledge and expertise stretches from the Panhandle all the way to the Florida Keys.
